This presentation explores the role of sound in shaping intuitive and emotionally resonant automotive experiences. From acoustic alerting systems to immersive in-cabin soundscapes, we examine how sonic design supports safety, personalization, and brand identity in electric and autonomous vehicles. Drawing on cognitive psychology and multimodal interaction principles, the session highlights how sound, touch, and light can work together to enhance user understanding and comfort. We also discuss the challenges of designing for voice UX in dynamic environments and the potential of biometric and emotional data to inform adaptive HMI systems.
