Dr. Brendan Chan is a Technical Specialist for Vehicle Dynamics at Navistar, Inc. In his current role, he is responsible for the development and analysis of advanced real-time/non-realtime vehicle dynamics models and advanced vehicle testing development for safety systems and ADAS. Prior to this, he was responsible for design, development and maintenance of real-time capable commercial vehicle systems simulation systems at Bendix.

His experience includes Tractor and Trailer Electronic Stability Control, Antilock Braking Systems, Collision Mitigation Systems and Advanced Air Treatment Systems. Dr. Chan is an associate editor for the SAE International Journal of Commercial Vehicles and has authored numerous technical papers, reports, and presentations in topics related to advanced technologies for ground vehicles. He is received the SAE Forest R. McFarland Award in 2012 and was a recipient of the Navistar StarPower Award in 2013 for his contributions in delivering the best-in-class Medium Duty TerraStar Truck.
